I have retuned to EQ. I also bought the anniversary edition so I'm
also uptodate on expansions.

I decided to get my LDON stone so that traveling between zones would
be quicker or at least more convient. My problem is I thought Cabillis
was my home city (Iksar Obviously) but the NPC in East Cabillis says I
should return to my home city and ask for help. I traveled to
Mountains of Rathe and could not find the NPC mentioned on Alla's.

Could someone please assist me by either telling me how to find my
home city ( I may have changed it) or where I can find a nuetral NPC
associated with the Wayfarers that will assist me in getting my LDON
stone.

Thanks
Zebuxoruk.

Your home city almost certainly WAS Cabilis. However, when Serpent's
Spine was release, it became possible for ALL races to start in the
new city of Crescent Reach. And then there was a bug that caused many
existing characters to have their home cities CHANGED to Crescent Reach.
(This was particularly distressing when it happened to a character on an
account that had not yet purchased the expansion!)

You can check if this is what happened to you by logging off your
character for at least six hours, and then using the "Return Home"
button on the character selection screen, to see where it sends you.
If your home city was indeed changed, you can then decide whether
you want to leave it that way, or petition to have it changed back.

One of my characters had this problem and when I petitioned I had a
GM contact me within minutes to straighten it out. Basically he did
something to tell the game that I had not yet selected a starting city,
and then I was able to select either Crescent Reach or Rivervale (as a
halfling, obviously).

West Cabalis might be your home city, too.

For some reason, they added more wayfarer people to the game, so that
there's one in the specific zone you spawned in, rather than just in the
city in general; depending on class your spawn site varies.

What gets me is that I forgot to change the default starting city for my
new human bard, so I wound up with Crescent Reach. However, when it came
time to get my adventurer's stone, I spoke with the Wayfarers NPC in
Freeport and then in the Commonlands and received my stone. Still, I
contine to get that message, "A mysterious voice whispers in your mind..."
every time I enter certain zones. I guess I'm gonna have to repeat the
quest in CR to get rid of it.

Anyone know who I would speak to in CR?

Well I found out my home city had been changed to Cresent Reach. This
happened while I was no longer playing EQ (took a 2 year break). As of
yet I have not found the Wayfarer nor have I received any messages
hinting at what to do. I did find the NPC in Mountains of Rathe and
even he wouldn't talk to me but suggested I go talk to some other NPC.
I thought the Mountains of Rathe NPC assisted everyone regardless of
faction status. All very frustrating. I have the LDON expansion now
but can't do them cause of this stupid adventures stone BS.

Hopefully this will get resolved soon. I want to explore and see the
new zones and not just XP. I heard there were some good easy soloable
quests I can do bu travel is a problem if I can't use the Magnus's.

One thing that might be gumming up the works is the fact that Rathe
Mountains is now the home of the Frogloks, and as such may no longer
provide a faction-friendly option for the Wayfarers. Wasn't there
supposed to be another one in the Karanas or someplace?
