Swapping spell lists

I heard that it is now possible to swap entire spell lists quickly (from
buff list to combat list etc.)
How is this done. Is there a link someone can offer that explains it?

Ok -

1. Mem the spells you want for the list.
This doesn't have to be complete - any empty gem will
simply not change the current spell when the list is memmed.

2. Right click on the spellbook icon on your spellgem bar.

3. Choose "Save Spellset"

4. Type the name of the set (EG Buffs)

5. Anytime you want to mem your buff spellset you can do 1 of 2 things
1. Right click on the spell book icon again and select the set from
the menu.
2. use the /memspellset command: EG /memspellset Buffs (this can
be hotkeyed)

Points to remember:
1. Memming a set will automatically unmem the spells being changed.
2. If a spell is not changing (either that gem is blank in the new
set, or it's the same spell as that gem in the new set) it does not
get unmemmed. Perfect for spells with long recasts (DA, Harvest)

HTH - any other questions, just ask.

Holy crap! That's fantastic! I had no idea they'd added that. I'm going
to set up about five of them tonight. Have you noticed a limit to how
many sets you can have?

Yes. Pretty sure it was 10. I hit it a little while ago, and then
was forced to re-vamp things. nice feature though.

Yeah, the limit is 10. I'd love to have more than 10 but I'm not going to
complain. ;-)

It's really easy to accidentally delete a gem set, by the way, because:

a) It's a hierarchical menu that doesn't preserve highlight on the initial
parent so if you choose Delete and then pop up the list of available 10, you
won't see that Delete is where you started. What this means is that you
might attempt to try to Load but accidentally have hit Delete, and then when
you have the list of ten, you won't have any indication that you're about to
delete your next choice; and
b) There is no confirmation before a delete.

Because of this, it's best to set up a hotkey to swap gem sets. I've heard
of people doing this, but I haven't actually seen how it's done. Can anyone
provide a mechanism on how to Hotkey gem set swapping?

Actually, I'd like to see more. I use small, tightly linked sets
to reduce mem time. I have some with as few as 3 (T_Prep -
Gift of Xev, Summon Jewelry Bag, Summon Coldstone).

Most of them load gems 1-4 or gems 5-8. The first ones are named
B_<description> the second ones T_<description>.

I'd also like to see a command like

/memsinglespell 2 "Black Steel"

Which would load gem 2 with Black Steel. The reason is that I'm
very keyboard centric in my use of computers. (Partly due to my
vision - see other threads :) I have problems picking up and
following cursors sometimes, depending on contrast and size).

Yep

Let's say your spellset is named T_Airpet
(on mine this loads gems 5-8 with summon girdle of magi'kot,
summon fist of ixiblat, summon muzzle of mardu, summon ward
of xegony).

the command is

/memspellset T_Airpet

Exactly the information I was looking for. Thanks, I'll put this to work
immediately!

When you have your spells memmed, right click on the Spell Book icon. A
list will come up with several choices, pick Save Spell Set and give it a
name. Do this for your normal spell sets, I think it limits you to like 8
or 10 sets. Example, mine are Group Buff, Single Buff, Root Rot, Kiting,
LDoN and General Group Fighting.

To load a spell set, right click on the spell book and selece "Load Spell
Set" then click the one you want to load.

Spell sets can be a lifesaver at times. Once, I was bound in TD by the
Spirocs and my group was fighting somewhere and I got killed on a pull gone
bad. I had forgotten to re-bind, and popped in TD and immediately got
trained by a ramp group of many adds. I started running and kept trying to
drop and mem "Ring of Anywhere But Here", but me without SoW and nekkid at
the time (level 48 I think) I kept getting hit whenever I'd sit and try to
turn to the proper page. Then I remembered I had Spell Sets. While
running, I right clicked the book, Load Spell Sets, Root Rot. My first gems
in that set were SoW, Snare, Root. I fell to my knees, SoW memmed. Jumped
up, ran a tad, cast sow, ran and turned and rooted the MOb. Plenty of time
now to mem a port and get out of harms way.
