Have I made a mistake? I signed into this group to get player
information and input with regard to Everquest but there seems to be a
lot of ...other information. Is this an Everquest group or not?

Everquest is a game that's in decline. Like England, it will probably be
around for quite a bit longer, but it will never again have the glory of its
old empire. As expected, the traffic on EQ-related sites... isn't what it
used to be.

check around on web forums and blogs. Usenet isn't necessarily the
place to get info anymore. You might check the faq here, its good.

Like all usenet groups, this one gets its share of spam (especially
"gold farmers" spam), but yes, this is still a place to discuss and
ask questions about EverQuest. As another respondent said, there
are also other forums on the net that have higher traffic these days,
but many of us are still here and happy to talk about EQ. Did you
have something specific you wanted to bring up?

As another poster mentioned, even though traffic is fairly low on
this group lately, the FAQ is a handy resource in itself. See my
sig for a link.
