People see a drop-off in group and forum activity and assume the worst, but
the truth is, sites like The Magician's Tower (http://eq1.eqsummoners.com),
The Spirit Realm (http://crucible.samanna.net) and EQ Outrider
(http://eqoutrider.net/forum) are still seeing a good deal of activity.

I find it interesting that some class forums are so much more active than
others - often inconsistent with the number of active players of the
respective classes.

Got any other recommendations? The boards I used to visit (like
Monkly Business) seem to be years-dead. (On top of the fact that I do
most of my browsing at work, where most big-name sites like Alla are
blocked :( )

Well, aside from those I mentioned above, I know the necromancer forums
(http://www.necrotalk.com) are still fairly active, relatively speaking.

One more request. I think I've settled on Wizard (I've always played
melee, time for a change). A bunch of googling pretty much just leads
to a bunch of Wizard pages on hub sites like Alla, Stratics and the
like. Does you know of a wizard-focused site like the ones you've
mentioned here?

Found Graffe.com. I guess that's my ticket. Unfortunately, it's
blocked at work. Damn them for wanting to keep me productive.

That'd be the one I would recommend.
